4 Dynasty Fantasy Football Bargains Before The 2026 NFL Season: For Whom Will Chris Bell Toll?

Who's so ready for some football that they're up for some bargain hunting? As in dynasty fantasy football bargain hunting. That's right, this could be a good time to help a fellow leaguemate scratch an itch to make a trade, and for you to possibly snag a player who might be worth more later this season. This is a good mix of rookies and a veteran coming off injuries. Let's get to it!

Best Buys In Dynasty Fantasy Football 2026

Chris Bell | WR | Dolphins

By now, we all know just how wide open the receiver room is for the Miami Dolphins. Malik Willis is about to make someone (maybe two someones) fantasy relevant, and it looks like it'll be the two rookie receivers—Chris Bell and/or Caleb Douglas.

For now, let's take a closer look at Bell.

Bell was one of the two wideouts selected by Miami in the third round. He was having a very productive season at Louisville before tearing his ACL in November.

From a prospect perspective, here's what Dwain McFarland had to say about Bell:

He might be good enough to work as an underneath target as a WR2 or WR3 for an NFL offense … Bell's best fit might be on a team that uses motion and play-action to play to his strengths as a YAC option early, as he works out the kinks as a route runner.

The Dolphins then activated Bell off PUP earlier this month and he saw his first preseason action last week. He actually led the team with 5 targets. Dwain was back with this encouraging insight after his latest outing:

I expect him to push for starter reps quickly. He is a fantastic fit for the Dolphins' play-action-centered offense where he can attack the interior of defenses on in-breaking routes and add YAC.

Honestly, the biggest thing working for Bell right now is the sheer level of opportunity he'll have in Miami. With few legitimate threats in front of him, Bell should be given every chance to take on a large role in this offense.

Germie Bernard | WR | Steelers

It's never a bad time to trade for a rookie wide receiver, especially if this season hasn't even officially started yet. Barring an absolutely catastrophic season, their value tends to be pretty well insulated.

Even though Germie Bernard is, at best, going to be the WR3 for the Steelers this season, and even though he'll likely have a new QB next season, he's someone worthy taking a flier on before we really have a chance to see him.

The Steelers selected Bernard 47th overall last spring. The WR1 from Alabama, Bernard has the size (6-foot-1/206 pounds), speed (4.48-40 time) and agility (best-in-class 6.71-second three-cone) to produce all over the field.

In his most recent preseason takeaways piece, here's Dwain's comment on Bernard:

Germie Bernard played with the backups for the first half, securing a TD on a quick pass, eluding defenders. Takeaway: The Round 3 NFL pick is not a starter at the moment, but has flashed this preseason. He could challenge (Roman) Wilson quickly.

I'd say he's got a good chance to challenge Wilson. Our projections have Bernard easily outpacing him this season.

As mentioned, Bernard will be a distant option behind both DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr. this season. He's not someone I would be rushing to trade for, but there are ample paths for him to become fantasy relevant in the coming seasons.

Antonio Williams | WR | Commanders

Outside of Terry McLaurin and an aging Stefon Diggs, there's not much to get excited about if you're Jayden Daniels beyond the 2026 season.

That's what makes Antonio Williams so appealing as a dynasty prospect.

The Commanders drafted Williams in the third round, and he profiles as someone who could make an impact right away. While he dealt with an array of injuries throughout his time at Clemson, a creative offensive coach should be able to unlock some of his best traits.

Behind McLaurin and Diggs, Williams will likely operate underneath as his stature (5-foot-11, 187 pounds) and YAC ability lend themselves to someone who can effectively produce from the slot. Dwain McFarland noted the same in his prospect profile:

There are some intriguing names on that list that should at least catch your eye.

While I was more excited about Williams before Diggs made his way to Washington, I'm fine reframing my expectations and simply trading for and stashing Williams for the time being. Nothing about his profile or landing spot changes, but we may need to be patient a bit longer than we initially expected.

Chris Godwin | WR | Buccaneers

Now a nine-year veteran, Chris Godwin has appeared in just 16 games over the last two seasons. A dislocated ankle back in Week 7 of the 2024 season, coupled with recurring lower-leg injuries, cost him the better part of two seasons. However, he appears to be back on track and could be stepping into a productive role this season.

The Buccaneers will no longer have Mike Evans (49ers) at their disposal for the first time since 2013. That leaves Godwin as the elder statesman in a wideout room featuring rising star Emeka Egbuka and young talent in Jalen McMillan, Tez Johnson and newly drafted rookie Ted Hurst.

Egbuka will be the focal point for fantasy managers (both redraft and dynasty), but there's enough evidence to warrant strong consideration for Godwin. Namely, his price will be significantly lower than Egbuka's.

As of this writing, Egbuka is valued as the WR11 dynasty wideout while Godwin currently sits just inside the top-55 at the position. However, for dynasty managers looking to add a relatively inexpensive piece to their competing squad, here's how both wideouts stack up in our projections heading into the 2026 season.

It's also worth noting that Egbuka (toe) has been battling an injury the last few weeks. While the hope is that he'll be ready for Week 1, there's a chance that Godwin emerges as the No. 1 option for Baker Mayfield to begin the 2026 season.
